|So much has happened since my last update. It's been Red Bull galore the past few months chasing Ricky Johnsons Pro4 truck in the snow,Miiles Daisher BASE jumps, the NBAs own Deron Williams and walking the streets of NYC with Felix Baumgartner. It's amazing how fast spring approaches as well after a very full winter camping, hiking and backcountry snowboarding back home in the White Mountains with Chris Carr and Bryan Johnson.. and one amazing trip shooting stills for Warren Miller Entertainment to Valdez, Alaska where I had the privlidge of shooting Seth Wescott and Rob Kingwell chasing after some crazy lines. I llok forward to the new film this fall! A few more weeks and I will be off to Bonnaroo again for Ultimate Ears... can't wait to see what's in store.|
Indo, NYC, SD, NYC,NYC and NYC!!... oh and a little place called Whistler, BC. On the road non-stop right now between Mentawai surf trips, bmx and working alongside Kraftwerk live at the MoMA. Hard to figure out what time zone I'm in.
On a personal high note I'm just getting on a plane eastbound from Whistler where I was a finalist in the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival Photographer Showdown... and won! Best in Show and Peoples Choice Awards were both very humbling moment to recieve in front of an overwhelming crowd... and I couldn't have been more stoked to showcase my surf work in front of a snow-bias crowd. Catch up the re-cap on ESPN here.
Starting to book tickets for the Indian Ocean! About to hit the road for a month in search of warm weather and water (quite the awkward feeling for a winter lover).
Grammys are on! Lot's of hype surrounding the project Re:Generation. Photos of Skrillex, the Doors, Erykah Badu and many others have been all over the place these days. I'll have a gallery from months of amazing road time with some talented people. In the meantime catch up on what's happening here www.regenerationmusicproject.com
Entering fall in full swing right now. It was nice to have a break from work the other week chasing waves up the New England coast with Sam and Gleason, look for some future editorial from the adventure. For a sneak peak here's a piece from Joe Carter via GITV
The last few months have been amazing. The Red Bull arena to the TD Garden with Dispatch, recording with Skrillex, the Crystal Method and Pretty Lights, roaming the streets of Detroit with Martha Reeves and taking in Venice Beach with The Doors. The music saga continues as I catch up with DJ Premier up north this week.Keep checking in for future galleries!Unless YOU'VE been hiding from society, out of touch from the internet in a third world country or just to buried in your pile of work to link into the now; you should be a regular on Get In the Van. Nick LaVecchia, Joe Carter and myself have been on a tear this winter chasing evey swell and powder dump we can get our hands on. Nothing has brought more pleasure to our lives than sharing those moments we live away from our professional lives.
